A sprawling green meadow dotted with wildflowers exists deep within my subconscious. It's an idyllic image that is both inspired by dreamscapes and rooted in the reality of my midwestern upbringing. 

Meadows naturally form after a disaster has occurred, clearing away shrubs and trees. I began making candles in a rare time of stillness, when the world slowed and everything changed during Covid-19.

Exploring the world of fragrance and candle making became my active meditation; a way to return to myself, to memory, to nature and to peace.

meadowformed is a collection of these moments:

scents that both ground and transport.
